How to stop being busy all the time: 4 Steps to decluttering the calendar

We all do it - we say "yes" to one thing, and then another. Before we know it, our calendar is swamped! It's easy to become too busy. And in an age when "busy" is valued as "important," it seems people wear their "busy" as a badge of honor. I've even heard people comparing how busy they are!

The fact is, being too busy deprives us of:

  • time for our family

  • building friendships

  • time to rest and restore our souls

  • time to foster a hobby

  • inner peace

A long time ago, I decided that I was not going to participate in this crazy-busy cycle; and I've done pretty well. People take note that I schedule time to relax and actually put my phone away to focus on people. Most don't know where to get started, though.
